Cubic Feet Calculator
Enter length, width, and height in any common unit. We compute the volume in cubic feet, cubic yards, and cubic meters — useful for storage, shipping, refrigeration, and HVAC sizing.
Measurement unit
Enter all three dimensions in the same unit. Switch units at the top if your measurements are in inches, yards, centimeters, or meters.
Cubic feet
800
10 × 10 × 8 ft
Examples
Refrigerator interior, 28 × 28 × 60 in
≈ 27.2 cu ft
Storage unit, 10 × 10 × 8 ft
= 800 cu ft
Moving box, 18 × 18 × 24 in
≈ 4.5 cu ft
Room, 4 × 5 × 2.4 m
≈ 1,695 cu ft
How it works
All three measurements are converted to feet and multiplied together. The result in cubic feet is then converted to cubic yards and cubic meters using fixed factors.
Volume · L × W × H = cubic feet
1 cu yd = 27 cu ft · 1 cu m ≈ 35.314 cu ft · 1 in = 1/12 ft · 1 yd = 3 ft · 1 m ≈ 3.281 ft
Frequently asked questions
Multiply length by width by height with all three values in feet. If you measured in inches, divide each measurement by 12 first; if you measured in yards, multiply by 3. The calculator does this for you when you choose a unit.
27. A cubic yard is 3 feet on a side, and 3 × 3 × 3 = 27 cubic feet.
About 35.31. We compute this conversion for you whenever you enter values, regardless of the unit you use.
